Fed Cup Ostrava

Robe’s CEO Josef Valchar fast-tracked back to the Czech Republic immediately after a massively successful Prolight+Sound expo in Frankfurt, and joined ecstatic crowds in Ostrava, cheering on the Czech Fed Cup Women’s Tennis team to a decisive 3-1 victory over France in last weekend’s 2015 season semi-final!

Robe is one of the main sponsors of the Czech national Fed Cup team this year. “It was a fantastic result” declared Josef … “We are all very proud of our team and the current ranking of the Czech women tennis players, with four in the world top 25!”

Josef and his wife Maria joined the team for post-match celebrations at the Cez Arena.

The Czechs – also defending Fed Cup champions - now meet Russia in the finals in Prague in November.

Eight times champions the Czech Republic play their fourth final in five years, and are hot favourites to win the title again.
