This is the first Robe purchase for the company which works across all sectors, specialising in corporate and live events and exhibitions. The fixtures were delivered ahead of a nationwide FNB Roadshow.

Shattered Glass’s Richard Horwell explains that they considered many options  before committing to Robe, “We based our decision on build quality and extra features like the white LEDs as well as the price,” he explains, adding that the service he received from Robe’s South Africa distributor, DWR Distribution, is “Top quality!”

The LEDWash 300s went straight out on a Jacaranda Day concert for radio station Jacaranda FM at Supersport Park in Centurion, and the LEDBeams debuted on a gala dinner for Ericsson at Legend Lodge in the Waterberg region of Limpopo.

For the FNB Roadshow, the weight and size of the fixtures were important factors. Richard adds that he thinks the speed of the LEDBeam 100s is “Incredible” and he also really appreciates the zoom of the LEDWash 300s among other features.

Richard himself is LD’ing the Roadshow, where the LEDBeam 100s are placed around the set, for which their compact size is ideal and used to create looks and effects for the band who are performing during key parts of the show. 

The 300s are colouring the set and creating mood and ambience around the room, all controlled through an Avo Tiger Touch console.
